Shiatsu is a Japanese treatment and healing method that has its origins in the Traditional Chinese medicine. The meaning of the word Shiatsu: Shi = finger, atsu = pressure. The treatment consists of pressure using fingers, palms, elbows and arm on various points and areas in the body, flexing and stretching of  organs and manipulations in order to move, strengthen and channel the qi-energy in our body. During the  treatment, the therapist uses his body weight, not  force, and the movement is relatively slow and deep. Shiatsu treatment is performed fully dressed on a mattress or a treatment bed.
