Tuina is a Chinese massage therapy method that mainly treats skeletal- muscle problems and is often referred to as "Chinese physiotherapy." Tuina in essence is more dynamic than Shiatsu but its purpose is similar - restoring the organs and the body balance  that has been broken and caused illness or pain. During the therapy, the therapist combines many movements, including kneading, pulling, shaking, rolling and more along the meridian paths in the body and at their scattered points, depending on the diagnosis and the purpose of the specific treatment. The treatment is done fully dressed on a massage bed and is especially effective in treating acute problems such as muscle aches, infections, joint pain, etc., but it is also effective in treating sleep problems, digestive problems, etc.
